Bournemouth vs Chelsea the outcome was in favor of both sides.

Chelsea have a half chance early on. Jackson and Mudryk link up before finding Gallagher, whose effort is deflected behind for a corner. Nothing came from it, however.

Smart work by Gallagher on the corner of the area to dink a ball into Sterling, and taking out three defenders in the process,

but the forward doesn’t look up and completely shanks a shot across the face of goal.

Another neat link-up in the forward line allows Jackson to push inside and fire in a shot from the edge of the area which bounces back off the post.

Bournemouth catch Chelsea out with a quick free-kick but Dango Ouattara ‘s shot is really well saved by Sanchez.

It’s all Chelsea in these opening stages as Bournemouth struggle to get a foot on the ball. The visitors are boasting 70 per cent possession.

Tavernier follows up with a shot of his own but it’s down Sanchez’s throat.

Dango shoots from the edge of the box but it’s a terrible effort from the attacker. It ends up going out for a Chelsea throw-in.

Gallagher comes close to giving Chelsea the lead but the captain, for this afternoon anyway, sees his shot well saved by Bournemouth goalkeeper Neto.

These Chelsea chances are racking up. Now Sterling and Jackson combine, slipping in the latter for a pop which does not go as planned.

Sterling probably should have had a go himself.

Bournemouth also have a goal in them, but not with decision-making like this.

Christie breaks free on the right and turns into the box but opts to shoot rather than cross and the angle to far too tight to beat Sanchez.

Gallagher has been impressive, Sterling has been lively, Mudryk has had the odd moment and Jackson hit the post.

But it’s all in fits and starts for Chelsea so far. Both teams look like they have a goal in them.
