Samklef, a well-known musician, faces criticism for his photoshoot and remarks over the passing of Mohbad, a younger colleague.

In the midst of the sadness at losing the young vocalist, Samklef used social media to express his thoughts on Mohbad’s passing.

He stressed the custom of mistaking the culprit for the hero in the entertainment sector in a message via the microblogging service X (previously Twitter).

Samklef posted the statement along with a picture of himself wearing a traditional cowrie shell necklace, which offended a lot of his admirers.

“The god of justice SAMKLEF seven has arrived! I’ve been warning everyone about the darker aspects of the Nigerian Afro beats industry, but not everyone believed me. When victims seek help, they’re often vilified. We tend to support the oppressor and ostracize the victims. Brace yourselves for industry issues – names will be mentioned!” he wrote in a post.
