Ajuri Ngelale Biography, Education, Career, Wife and Kids

Ajuri Ngelale holds roles as an editor, columnist, and investigative reporter.

Ajuri Ngelale was born on November 12th to Chief Precious Osaro Ngelale, who previously served as the Honourable Minister of State for Water Resources, and a mother of German-US descent.

Ajuri was brought up in the Ogoniland creeks within the Niger Delta region.

He previously held the position of Special Assistant to former President Muhammadu Buhari on Public Affairs. In July 2023, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu appointed Ajuri as the official Spokesperson and Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity.

Education

Ajuri completed his secondary education at Government Secondary School in Port Harcourt before pursuing a degree in Political Science at the University of Kansas. Subsequently, he obtained an additional degree in History from the same university.

Career

After coming back to Nigeria from the United States, Ajuri took on the role of a reporter at African Independent Television (AIT) News.

He gained fame for his report titled “EAGLE EYE.”

Ajuri also held the position of Lead Consultant, Public Affairs at the Federal Ministry of Power during his career.

Furthermore, he dedicated several years to his reporting career at Channels TV, where he initially served as a TV presenter, producer, and senior news correspondent.

Following his departure from Channels TV, he was appointed as the Senior Special Assistant on Public Affairs by former President Muhammadu Buhari.

In this role, Ajuri is recognized for his steadfast advocacy and support for President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration and policies.

He has made appearances in numerous media outlets, both domestically and internationally, to articulate and defend the President’s positions.

Marriage

Ajuri Ngelale is wedded to an Igbo woman and is a proud parent to three children.
